Our team delivers a wealth of technical expertise and industry knowledge to meet your veterinary image storage, retrieval, and transfer needs.

CEO and Co-Founder — Jason Otis, BSEE

Jason is an Army veteran who specialized in satellite and multi-channel communication systems. With a BSEE from Purdue University and over twenty years experience leading software development efforts, he is the architect of Asteris products and services. Jason lives in Monument, Colorado with his family and can often be found mountain biking, hiking, boating, and camping in the Rocky Mountains. He is also the drummer for his church and an "Old Guy Bar Band", VFW member, and Boy Scout Leader.

Chief Sales Officer — Erik Berger, B.S., Business Management

With a background in sales and customer service, Erik came to Asteris from an industry leader in diagnostic imaging equipment where he developed a passion for assisting veterinarians with their imaging-related needs. As someone who is NOT a "techie," Erik enjoys being able to provide a simple but yet sophisticated software solution that makes life better for pets and veterinarians alike. A San Diego resident, Erik is married and has three daughters and two dogs.

Customer Relations — Alan Jacobson, RVT

Alan is an experienced veterinary nurse with a background in diagnostic imaging and veterinary hospital management. Alan works directly with veterinarians, veterinary nurses, hospital managers and support staff to ensure Keystone is being used to its full potential. Alan currently resides in Colorado Springs with his wife Carrie and young son Theo. He loves traveling and can’t wait to take his son camping in the Colorado wilderness. He also considers himself an amateur chef, but only for a select few!

Customer Relations / Support — David Corlew

David handles the daily business operations of Asteris and will probably be your first contact when you have a service or technical question. A resident of Stephentown, New York, David enjoys snowmobiling and dedicates his spare time to volunteering for the town Fire and Emergency Medical Services, of which he has been a member for over 25 years and holds the position of Chief.

Dev. Team Lead, Senior Software Engineer — Rob Mulcahey, BSCIS

Rob is responsible for writing most of the software developed at Asteris. At this point he has written almost all of the software comprising our flagship Keystone Software Suite. A true "behind-the-scenes" team member, Rob keeps the updates rolling out so that our software runs smoothly with all the latest features. Rob resides in Colorado Springs with his wife Molly and their two children Sarah and James. In his spare time, you will find Rob skiing, biking, camping, and brewing his own beer. Even Jason concedes that he is the true "Asteris Brew Master!"

Heuristic Algorithm Engineer & Data Scientist — Kevin Drum

Kevin is a developer for Asteris Keystone Omni who is passionate about frontend development and all things JavaScript. He and his wife Lindsey (and now their baby girl!) reside in Radford, Virginia. When he is not coding, he also enjoys playing and restoring pinball machines, digital photography, and karaoke.

Senior Frontend Developer — Madison Dickson

With a background in mobile development, Madison stands with one foot in User Experience and the other in the code implementing great webapps. He and his wife are both huge foodies, spending hours in the kitchen together exploring new flavors. They are often found outdoors experiencing the nature that northern Arizona has to offer.

Senior Full Stack Developer — Mark Westbrook

Mark lives in Boise, Idaho with his wife Sarah and three kids. He enjoys camping, hiking, and indie game development. As if all of that didn't keep him busy enough, he also teaches computer programming skills for a prison reentry program.

Senior Full Stack Developer — Nathan Reyes

With a diverse history of developing various client and server technologies, Nathan works within all facets of Asteris software. He is a Texas kid who grew up in the Texas Panhandle, attended Texas A&M University (WHOOP!), and currently resides in Amarillo, Texas with his wife Raine and 3 children: Noah, Mia, and Ari. His spare time is spent mostly with his family and friends, but he also enjoys maintaining open source software, building websites for churches and non-profit organizations, and a little golf on the side.

Software Quality Assurance Engineer — Dave Hinton

With extensive background in all aspects of software quality assurance, Dave is passionate about delivering high quality software. He has taken his strong testing skills and used those to help mentor others in understanding how to properly manually and automate tests. He enjoys spending time with his family outdoors, fishing, camping and driving UTVs. You can often find him BBQing and volunteering with his local Asphalt Cowboys club.

Technical Support Manager — Chris Orth

Chris orchestrates the inner-workings of our world-reknown support department, and also assists in software installations and day-to-day service issues. He resides in Colorado Springs, Colorado with his "significant other," Tawna, and their children: Kaden, Kyler, and Tyler. His primary hobbies are cooking, fishing, and camping. He has been known to be recruited to serve as "The Grillmaster" in the summer months.

Technical Support Specialist — Carl Sandstrom

Carl is an Army veteran whose primary focus was in satellite communications. He has lived in Colorado Springs, Colorado since 2016 and is loving the cooler weather. In his free time, he enjoys playing with his dog, attending concerts, golfing, building computers, and working with anything technology-related.

Technical Support Specialist — Alex Benhase

Alex is an Army veteran whose primary focus was in network and systems administration. In his free time, he enjoys going shooting, camping, spending time with his sons, and playing video games or working on his computer. He currently resides in Las Vegas.

Technical Support Specialist — Isaiah Kendrick

Isaiah is an IT support specialist with a focus in computer networking and tier 2 desktop support. He enjoys building computers, sports, playing video games and guitar. He currently resides in Las Vegas.

Technical Support Specialist — Andrew Adams

Andrew is an Army Veteran whose primary focus was in nodal network systems. He currently lives in Midlothian, Virginia. In his free time, he enjoys learning new things, playing the piano, cooking, and all of the little things involved with being a full-time nerd.

Technical Support Specialist — Nathan Arnett

Nathan’s IT background is widely diversified in Operations and Support. Currently living in Monument, Colorado, Nathan supports his family’s interests who have been long time contributors to the local arts community. Or spending any available downtime in production in his home music studio. And may occasionally wander outside to enjoy some clear, Colorado mountain-fresh air.
